Richard Moore is an Albuquerque, New Mexico activist and the program coordinator of Los Jardines, a multi-generational community organization that includes a community gardening project and after school programs. He is one of the founding members of the New Mexico Black Berets, one part of the 1960's Chicano Movement. The Black Berets, based in Albuquerque from 1969-1973, formed alliances throughout the state by organizing and working with communities to exert their right to self-determination. This interview, in two parts, was conducted by Edward Wemytewa and the Media Literacy Project in the summer of 2012.
